FYE’s primary objective is ensuring that new students thrive at Queens College. We curate and develop first-year programming that supports students in successfully developing their academic paths:
- freshman-only courses for first-semester freshmen
- a peer mentorship program that serves all freshmen and new transfer students
- support for experiential and interdisciplinary learning through hands-on workshops and within introductory courses
- talks on topics important to first-year students’ progress
